RaceChrono is a GPS based lap timing software for Nokia Series 60 smart phones. It can be used to measure lap times on almost any vehicle and track. It can be used to measure laptimes for example for motorbikes, bicycles, cars, water jets and quadbikes.

RaceChrono a is data logging software for all kinds of sports. It runs on Nokia Series 60 smart phones and uses position data from your Bluetooth GPS receiver to determine lap times and performance.

RaceChrono is developed by a team of Finnish sports enthusiastics who have made their careers in the IT-business. RaceChrono is currently a hobby project for it's authors.

We have successfully used RaceChrono with all kinds of bikes, cars and water jets. After you have downloaded the needed track profile from our library, the safe and waterproof installation of your Mobile phone and GPS receiver is the trickiest task, as RaceChrono team members have found out. Most of the tracks we have in our tracks library are from other RaceChrono users. We hope that someday our library will contain most common tracks from all over the world.

Just use the right hand navi to select the country and the track you want. You are also able to download tracks manually, this is for those who are lacking data connection on their mobile phone.

Notice that Google Maps doesn’t provide satellite images for all regions in the required detail levels. Also for some regions the images are not accurately positioned to the actual coordinates.

Usei o RaceChrono no TrackDay da Fasp e o software é simplesmente fantástico!
Instalei em um celular Nokia N91 que estava largado em casa. Meu GPS é um externo, "BT‐Q1000 Platinum Super 51‐CH GPS Travel Recorder", que configurei para 5Hz (importante pra precisão maior, +- 0,15s) utilizando o software BT747.
Depois de instalado, baixei a pista de Interlagos no software e pra minha surpresa ele traz as parciais de pista como na cronometragem oficial.

Andar em Interlagos com ele é fabuloso. Você experimenta algum traçado diferente, um novo ponto de frenagem, uma marcha distinta, e logo logo ao completar o trecho já aparece a parcial em vermelho ou verde, que facilita totalmente a interpretação se melhorou ou não o tempo.

Interessante também uma volta que meu tempo começou a piorar e eu não entendia o motivo. Então procurando o motivo achei a pressão de combustível caindo em algumas curvas. Abasteci e os tempos voltaram ao normal.

Uma dica importante: Se você for para os boxes e ficar muito tempo parado, não esqueça de dar "Pause" na sessão. Eu não fiz isto e depois não consegui fazê-lo funcionar de novo. Perdi minhas melhores voltas e só não dancei porque tinha cronometragem externa .
Dando "Pause" e "Resume", ele volta à cronometrar.
